Smart Cruise Control allows you to avoid the frustrating cycle of braking and resetting your speed on busy highways by using radars to automatically maintain a safe distance between you and the vehicle ahead. On vehicles that include the Stop & Go feature, the cruise control will automatically pause then re-engage if the vehicle you are following starts moving again within 3 seconds. 

Getting out of a parked vehicle near a busy roadway is a dangerous necessity in some shopping centers and residential areas. Hyundai's Safe Exit Assist uses radar technology to detect whether vehicles are approaching your car as you exit. If a vehicle is detected nearby, Safe Exit Assist will alert passengers and even override child safety locks deactivation. 

We're all guilty of paying less attention than we should while driving, and Hyundai's Driver Attention Warning aims to combat that. If the DAW system detects that your attention is straying or you are possibly drifting to sleep based on your driving habits, a loud alert will sound to call your attention back to the road. 

Hyundai SmartSense also includes an Ultrasonic Rear Occupant Alert that monitors your back seat for signs of occupancy after the doors are locked. If the Ultrasonic ROA detects a pet or child in the back, your horn will sound, your lights will blink, and you will receive an alert through via the Blue Link app.
