Recap: Evansville’s Local Fall Festival

One of the most popular events in Evansville is its local fall festival, which lasted October 1st through the 6th. The West Side Nut Club Fall Festival, as it’s properly referred to as, draws over 200,000 visitors from all over the county and delivers live performances, great food, and tons to do along Franklin Street. For those who missed out on the 2018 event, here’s a quick recap of what went down.

Mild weather kept the festival feeling breezy and warm all week, making it a perfect time for families to venture out for a celebration of the onset of October. The entertainment schedule was packed full, with over ten live music artists putting on a show for Evansville guests. But the true star of the show at the fall festival is the food!

Food booths and trucks line the streets of Evansville, with unusual delights such as deep-fried potato bites, cinnamon nachos, and a new creation called “fiddle sticks.” Over 139 food vendors made their appearance at the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival!

But no local fall festival would be complete without rides. The Tilt-a-Whirl, Skater, Ring of Fire, and Scrambler are just a few rides that made their appearance at Evansville’s annual fall festival. Visitors could also participate in events such as the pet parade or talent contests! If you missed the festivities, make sure you come to next year’s local fall festival in Evansville. We here at The Duell’s Evansville Hyundai hope to see you there.
