You can also opt for a 1.6-liter inline four-cylinder engine with Twin-Scroll turbocharging on the Eco trim. This engine is mated to a seven-speed EcoShift dual clutch transmission, generating up to 178 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. The turbocharged engine gets up to 28/36/31 mpg.*

There is also a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine on the Sport 2.0T and Limited 2.0T trims with up to 245 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. This engine gets 21/30/24 mpg.*

Exterior Features

The Sonata comes with refreshed styling for the 2017 model year. Standard features include the 16-inch alloy wheels, dual fold-away and heated power mirrors (body-colored), body-colored door handles, chrome trim, a rear spoiler, and a shark fin antenna. You'll also find projector headlights (automatic), and a Center High-Mounted Stop Light (CHMSL). Other features include intermittent wipers and solar control glass.

Upgrade to the Sport trim for turn signals integrated into the side mirrors, a Sport grille, side rocker panels, Sport trim for the bumper, a chrome-tipped dual exhaust, and LED daytime running lights.  Meanwhile, the Sport 2.0T has a rear diffuser and chrome-tipped quad exhaust, while the Limited has a hands-free smart trunk, chrome handles, LED taillights, and Proximity key. Finally, the Limited 2.0T has Glossy DLO surround and mirror housing, HID Xenon lighting, and Dynamic Bending Light.

Interior Features

This model is also made to be comfort and convenient, with an array of interior features and options. The standard trim includes air conditioning, power windows and locks, premium cloth seating, and 6.40 split fold-down rear seatbacks. You'll also find illuminated vanity mirrors, Metal-grain appearance accents, and a tilt/telescopic steering column.

The Sonata Sport has 8-way power driver's seating, leatherette door trim, and carbon-fiber accents. The Limited 2.0T is the top of the line, with a panoramic sunroof, sunshades, integrated memory for seats and mirrors, heated and ventilated seating, leather, and an Electronic Parking Brake (with Hold) system.

Radio and Technology

When you get behind the wheel of the new 2017 Sonata, you'll find the latest high-tech features. This includes Bluetooth, Blue Link, smartphone connectivity, an AM/FM/USB/SiriusXM/CD/MP3 system, six speakers, HD Radio, and a 7-inch color touchscreen audio system. The Sonata Limited gets auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink, and the Limited 2.0T has Infinity premium audio (with nine speakers), an 8-inch touchscreen navigation system, and a 4.2-inch color trip computer.
