Hyundai Santa Fe Sport vs. Ford Edge
The Ford Edge is one of the best-selling vehicles on the market within its class. However, is it the best vehicle in its class? The Hyundai Santa Fe Sport is one of the Edge's main competitors, and it's loaded with a variety of cutting-edge technology and features that make the daily commute more convenient, more fun, and safer than ever. But does the Ford Edge have any of these features, or comparable equipment?
Emergency Braking & Multi-View Camera System
A lot of vehicles these days claim to have the latest driver assist safety systems available. The Ford Edge does have a Collision Warning feature that alerts drivers of potential collisions before they happen. However, the Santa Fe Sport comes with Automatic Emergency Braking that stops the car upon sensing an imminent crash. The 2017 Sante Fe Sport also comes with a Multi-View Camera that gives drivers the chance to see all around the vehicle for better visibility, something the Ford Edge doesn't offer.
Fog Lights & Dynamic Bending Light
Surprisingly, despite being a fairly common feature across the auto market, the Ford Edge doesn't offer fog lights standard or available. The Hyundai Santa Fe Sport does, however, and in addition employs a unique Dynamic Bending Light system that turns the headlights with the direction of the steering wheel for improved vision.
Drive Mode Select
Want to choose between a more efficient, eco-friendly mode, a more performance-focused mode, or a blend of the two for optimized performance and fuel economy? The 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport lets drivers choose between Eco, Sport, and Normal Mode. The Ford Edge doesn't have this feature.
Powertrain Limited Warranty
Both the 2017 Sante Fe Sport and the Edge offer powertrain warranties. However, Hyundai's warranty is significantly longer than Ford's. The Ford Edge comes with a 5-year or 60,000-mile powertrain limited warranty. In comparison, the Santa Fe Sport's warranty is 10 years/100,000 miles.
